Strawberry Ice Cream

As you know, M and I went strawberry picking on the weekend, so this week has been all about strawberries. First recipe I made was strawberry ice cream. I’ve never been a fan of strawberry flavoured stuff, I find it can taste artificial. I love it thought when the flavour is for natural strawberries, it’s so good. The great thing about vegan ice cream is that it has the same base for almost any ice cream, then you add any flavour you like. So, you need 1 cup soy milk, 2 tablespoons arrowroot, 2 cups soy creamer and a tablespoon of vanilla essence to create your base. To this you add your flavouring and sugar (depending on how sweet your flavouring is). It’s been 30 degrees here this week so the ice cream has gone down a treat!
